However, as we speak - director Frank Darabont is shooting in the deep South, working on a television adaptation of super-hyped graphic novel "The Walking Dead." The best part is that AMC is behind it all, flying high on their success with Mad Men and Breaking Bad.
Darabont (who was recently quoted as saying that he wants "to do with zombies what Mad Men did with advertising") has had his fair share of home runs in collaborating with horror guru Stephen King, having been behind some of the most talked about films of the last ten years, including The Green Mile and The Shawshank Redemption.
Shooting started at the beginning of this month, with an intended air date of October. That gives us four months to digest both the books and Frank Darabont's body of work before the shit hits the fan and the undead start clawing their way into our lives every week.
